How load management works
OPIT's load management makes your buildings' and facilities' energy consumption not only visible but actively controllable – in real time. At its core is the e3m-box, which brings together generation, storage, grid supply and consumers and consolidates data from a wide range of sources – from smart meters and SCADA systems to PV installations.
On this basis, the system automatically controls a wide variety of loads: charging stations, battery storage, heat pumps, boilers and other consumers. This lets you reliably stay within defined power limits at all times and avoid expensive peak loads.
With your own generation, load management optimizes your self-consumption by using solar power specifically when it is available – instead of feeding it unused into the grid. In addition, consumption can be coupled to flexible, market-based tariffs, so loads are automatically shifted into the most favorable time windows.
The system works according to your rules: customer-specific control logic can be flexibly modeled and adapted to your processes. At the same time, load profiles, forecasts and threshold alarms provide the robust data basis needed to cleanly meet and document regulatory and contractual requirements.
Whether industrial operation, property management or energy supplier – OPIT's load management scales from a single installation to a complex portfolio. This lets you lower energy costs, relieve your grid and make decisions based on reliable data instead of estimates.
